Overwatch 2 is getting a community update

Overwatch is continuously evolving and now it has just taken the first step to improved communication and a cadence of updates for the community, so it will start sharing information about its plans for the upcoming months.

The release strategy for Overwatch 2 is changing, separating the PvP and PvA modalities so that players can make the most of new PvP content sooner, whilst it continues to develop the PvA mode.

Closed alpha testing for Overwatch 2 PvP begins today. Blizzard employees will take part, professionals from Overwatch League and other selected groups to help to carve the way to wider testing.
