Maps Diversity

A very common feeling among players is the frustration they feel when they find the same map in several games in a row. In a recent survey, over a third of VALORANT players responded that it is "extremely frustrating" to come across the same map multiple times in a row.

It is not surprising. Playing on the same map gets boring very quickly and limits the type of challenges you face in the game. Therefore, the VALORANT team wanted to make sure that they could improve the diversity of the maps played without compromising the state of matchmaking.
